The change of ownership of any Industrial Property right (inventions, distinctive signs, etc.) must be registered in your Registry. In other words, the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO), the Office for the Harmonization of the Internal Market (OHIM), the European Patent Office (EPO), and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) must have a record of the name of the company or natural person who is the current proprietor of an Industrial Property right.
If at any point during the lifetime of a file the proprietor changes name, this new name must also be registered. |
